I had been in youth ministry in the Chattanooga area for 24 years, and my wife and I read about a teaching residency program called Project Inspire.  We prayed about it for a while and decided to pursue becoming a part of the program.  So I came into teaching a little later in life than many of my fellow faculty members.  It is my goal to be a part of helping shape the generations that will forge the future of our city, region, and country.

I grew up very involved in athletics.  I went from season to season, and I found a sport to be involved in most of each year.  Some of the most influencial people in my life were coaches that I have played under.  I still stay in contact with many of them now.  They helped shape my work ethics, my drive to succeed, and helped forge my character.  These experiences helped me become the man that I am today.

This is my fourth year here at Orchard Knob Middle School and my fifth year teaching.  This coming year I will be teaching physical education. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics. I taught in the Flex Math Department this past year.   I have a Bachelors Degree from Samford University and a Masters Degree from Tennessee Technological University.  I enjoy coaching football, wrestling , and baseball here at OKMS.
