Ms. Kelley graduated from Dublin High School in Dublin, GA, then matriculated to Emory University in Atlanta where she graduated with a BA in History in 1998. She completed her Master's Degree in Education at UTC.

Ms. Kelley began working with students in 1995 as a speech and debate instructor at summer institutes held at Emory University, Stanford University, and Bates College. She continued working with high school debate students in the Atlanta Urban Debate League, an organization dedicated to providing inner-city school students opportunities through competitive speech and debate. Ms. Kelley spent a significant portion of her professional life in electoral politics, working and consulting on various campaigns throughout the country and serving as Research Director for the House of Representatives at the Georgia State Legislature. Her last campaign was in New Hampshire, where she got to help elect President Barack Obama. Finally settling in Chattanooga in 2009, Ms. Kelley has been able to devote herself full-time to helping students unlock their potential and become the inspired, educated leaders of tomorrow.
